"How we turned a headphone into a music app."

Since 2019 we are official partner of Europe's largest trade fair for entertainment technology and organize an 800 m² exhibition area where a wide range of manufacturers present their latest products. Through our showcases, workshops and installations, we offer visitors a unique trade fair experience and realize product presentations in a variety of ways.

For a renowned manufacturer of headphones, we designed a brand experience that linked the product with musical and playful activities. In addition, the outstanding sound quality of the headphones was to be put in the spotlight.

For this purpose, we composed a modern track and used product photos and the logo as a game interface. Again, our app was used to link any visual elements with sounds.

This made it possible for visitors to not only listen to any demo music during the exhibition for testing the headphones, but to create a track themselves. The quantization function in the app corrected rhythmic inaccuracies in real time. Thus, it was not necessary to have any specialist musical expertise to create a beautiful, resonant sound by swiping on the iPad. This kind of intuitive communication gave the brand experience a heightened emotional value - what could be more enjoyable than making music by oneself?
