Pitch
We received an exciting request from a renowned wine producer to develop a live, interactive showcase for a trade show. Their aim was to book a performance to attract visitors and generate compelling social media content to spread the word online. This approach should ensure that all attendees have an immersive and unforgettable experience.
In order to pitch the concept of this performance to the client, we documented the different production steps, which showcase how the wine is creatively combined with musical elements. The video demonstrates how an array of distinct sounds can be produced in a unique and innovative manner. We were inspired by the product itself, pushing our creativity to its utmost limits in the generation of the various sounds that accompany the wine.
After recording the individual audio samples using a microphone, we started designing the sound. We modulated the recorded sounds using a state-of-the-art equalizer, or added various digital and analog audio effects to manipulate and transform them. This allowed us to deftly emulate classic sound elements such as bass drum, snare and other elements necessary for composing an unforgettable track.
In the final step, the individual samples were distributed to the pads of the midi controller, similar to a piano keyboard, thus creating an interface for performing the track in real time. Each musician took on a specific function, as can be seen in the video. Musically, we played a mixture of hip hop and electronic music. However, it is possible to ultimately represent any conceivable style - it's all just a matter of arrangement and sound design.
